Petrina has spent the last 40 years motivating, cajoling and encouraging people to get fit and co-ordinated and in that time has taught a gazillion cartwheels. She has a degree in Dance and Physical Education as well as gymnastics coach accreditations. Petrina has led movement workshops at national and international events and is on the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG) Gymnastics for All committee.

Marisa Snow is a Creative Producer with more than 18 years’ experience across the arts and cultural sector. Marisa’s expertise includes creative production, cross-cultural capacity building, curation, economic and creative strategy and large-scale event production. Key positions include Placemaking Officer for Lismore Regional Gallery (Lismore Council), Creative Director for Artstate (Regional Arts NSW), Economic Development Officer for Byron Shire Council, Creative Producer for Northern Rivers Performing Arts (NORPA) and Producer for Darwin Festival.

Obi has a strong background in IT and Journalism. Founder and Marketing Manager at Mullum Mac 2010–2017. President of the Mullumbimby Chamber of Commerce 2016 & Secretary 2013–2015. Founder & General Manager of Byron Host 2008–2016. Obi’s experience also extends to website design and he is a Cert IV qualified Trainer & Assessor.

Professional circus career spanning 30 years, travelling to more than 15 countries as a comedy juggler, inventor, comedian, robot operator and actor. Currently touring nationally with Kitty Flanagan; recently resident performer at Teatro ZinZanni (Seattle). Performer with Circus Oz, Gadgets, Garden of Unearthly Delights, La Clique/La Soiree (two times Olivier Award winners). Inventor of Chuka Chuks, percussion juggling equipment. 30 years legal and arts sector experience. Founder and Principal, Barefoot Law, Company Secretary, Enova Community Energy Ltd, Byron Shire Councillor. Arts Governance – Legs on the Wall Director (2009–10) and Chair (2011–2013), restored triennial OzCo funding during his tenure.

Kate started out as a large-scale contract manager in the UK, providing her with extensive people and resources management skills. She retrained in Australia as a professional bookkeeper, sharing her previous management experience with a wide variety of clients. Kate has lived and raised her kids in the Northern Rivers for 20 years. She has been on the management board of several community organisations and works with the Echo newspaper and Byron School of Art. Involved with Spaghetti for 18 years, she helped run the 2013 and 2022 festivals.

Emily is an independent management consultant working with the not-for-profit sector and small to medium business. She has worked in the Northern Rivers for over 10 years, most recently as Business Manager for Patternmakers, a national research agency specialising in arts and culture. Prior to that Emily was CEO of Northern Rivers Community Foundation (NRCF), and Executive Producer and General Manager of Northern Rivers Performing Arts (NORPA). Emily is also a board member for Arts Northern Rivers.She has more than 30 year’s experience in business and financial management, operations and production; in theatre, documentary film, events, hospitality, and humanitarian aid; namely St.George OpenAir Cinema Sydney, RICE restaurants & events New York, BroadOak documentary film production in Brisbane and Paris, RiverGarden Hotel Cambodia, and Logistician for Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Peter is a journalist, film distributor, film commentator and radio presenter with more than 30 years’ experience across the arts industry. He was the first Australian journalist invited to sit on the Cannes Film Festival FIPRESCI Jury. He spent 15 years with ABC Radio presenting on Triple J, and Radio National. Peter has worked extensively in independent cinema working for; Screen Australia, AACTA, Olympic Arts Film Festival and the Sydney and Melbourne Film Festivals. Locally he has worked for the Brunswick Picture House, HOTA and Lismore City Council.

Spaghetti Circus graduate with more than 20 years circus experience – 10 years as freelance cameraman, editor and director of Carnival Cinema. Multi media specialist and online promotional/social media documentation. Working with Strut & Fret production house, La Clique/La Soiree, Circus Oz, National Circus Festival, Company 2, Casus, The Garden of Unearthly Delights, The Candy Butchers, NICA, Briefs and over 45 other small companies.

Former gymnastics champion. 26 years’ circus coach and director. 26 years’ experience governing Spaghetti Circus. Awarded OAM for service to youth in 2017.

Jessie Carson brings her love of the silks and trapeze and performance experience to her coaching at Spaghetti. Kids gain a good understanding of the ins and outs of aerials in Jessie's specialty classes.

Paul is passionate about learning and skills-sharing. He brings this enthusiasm to his boys' coaching classes and creates a fun environment for kids to develop their skills.

Casey Douglas – Bachelor of Circus Arts, National Institute of Circus Arts (NICA)

Specialising in handstands, teeterboard and Russian bar. Casey received a grant for a training project in Chattellaraut, France where he completed further studies with seven handstand professors from around the European Federation of Professional Circus Schools (FEDEC). Upon graduation, he co-founded one of the first companies to come out of NICA “This Side Up”, which went on to have international acclaim as an independent company. Casey toured with the Circa Ensemble. Casey joined Company2 in 2017 and Spaghetti Circus in 2022, training the Super Mighties. Additionally, Casey ran Hardy St Productions for five years and site manager for Perth Fringe Festival and the National Circus Festival.

Nikki brings a background in early childhood education to her coaching with kids naturally loving her style. Embracing fun and games and effortless skills development, Nikki coaches preschool and community classes.

DJ was a high level gymnast, studied and taught at NICA and performed with Circus Oz, Cirque du Soleil, Dislocate, Candy Butchers. He is an internationally renowned street performer, roving mentor and coach of the Mighty Minis, DJ is exceptional talent to have with us (again) at Spaghetti.

Finia is one of our International Volunteers and is a high level performer in German Wheel and Cyr Wheel.

Marianna, known for her exciting hair-hang trick, brings her performance background to Spaghetti. Marianna coaches the community classes and Circus Play.

Ronja has trained in circus, gymnastics and swimming in her native Germany. She loves teaching, especially aerial tissu skills.

Scott McBurnie trained for seven years as a member of the Flying Fruit Fly Circus, specialising in skills such as juggling, tumbling, mini trampoline, stilt walking, hoop diving, acrobatics and clowning. In 2001, Scott joined Strange Fruit, and continued to work as a performer, director and production manager with the company in more than 30 countries until 2020. Scott has taught with companies Seed Arts, Circus Oz, Kinder Circus, ACAPTA, Outback Theatre for Young People and the Flying Fruit Fly Circus.

Once a Spaghetti kid in the Performance Troupe, Chiara went off to explore the world. Now she's back and sharing her skills and enthusiasm for the German Wheel.

Ric brings a wealth of physical education experience to his coaching at Spaghetti. Kids benefit greatly from Ric's insight into movement, technique and equipment such as the teeterboard.

Mel is the backbone of Spaghetti, coaching preschool and community classes as well as running play spaces and workshops at events and hosting birthday parties. Talk about busy.

A founding member of Spaghetti Circus, Bronte was trained in acrobatics and aerials from a young age. You may have seen Bronte performing as Mrs Pitt is the Pitt Family Circus.

Emma trained in circus in the UK. Her enthusiasm for learning new skills and encouragement sees Spaghetti kids learn quickly while having a great deal of fun.

Diana, our stilt-walking, roving performer, circus coach all the way from Mexico is a blast of energy with the kids. Diana coaches our community classes and outreach programs.
