Policies and Procedures

MEMBERSHIP & INSURANCE FEE All participants are required to pay an annual $100 Spaghetti Circus membership fee, which includes personal accident insurance and membership with Gymnastics Australia. The fee also covers the cost of costumes, props and rehearsal times. The fee is paid on joining and expires 31 December of the same calendar year. Spaghetti Circus members receive a discount on in-house tickets and merchandise.

FEES When fees are paid at least seven days prior to the start of term, a $30 early bird discount is applied.

Fees must be paid before the commencement of term to confirm your place. Payments may be paid:

  • online through the Members Portal
  • in person at the Spaghetti Circus front desk
  • over the phone (02) 6684 3038
  • via direct deposit to our bank:
    • Account: Spaghetti Circus Inc.
      Bank: Bank of Australia
      BSB: 313-140
      Account #: 12219146

Families can choose to have a credit card linked to their account for automatic fee deductions each term. To consent to automatic deductions from your credit card for consecutive terms, please select the ‘Autopay’ option when making your payment via the Members Portal.

Program fee information is available at our website www.spaghetticircus.com. When enrolling mid-term, the payment amount will be prorated over the number of classes remaining in the term.

A payment plan is available but must be approved by the front desk. Under the payment plan, payments are to be automatic, consistent amounts paid either weekly or fortnightly.

10% family discount will be applied to the total class fees for any family enrolling three or more students in a Program. This does not apply to Holiday Program Fees.

ACTIVE & CREATIVE KIDS VOUCHERS We honour two distinct rebate vouchers that are issued by Service NSW. They are called Active Kids and Creative Kids and can be used to subsidise the costs of attending classes at Spaghetti Circus. Please read carefully how they work:

Active Kids rebate vouchers can subsidise:

  • 2020 annual membership fee
  • Term fees

But not:

  • Holiday workshops

Creative Kids rebate vouchers can cover:

  • Term fees
  • Master class workshops and
  • Holiday workshops for 7-14-year-olds when you enrol for a minimum of two days

But not:

  • 2020 annual membership fee

An Active Kids rebate voucher cannot be used in conjunction with a Creative Kids rebate to subsidise fees for the same term. We recommend using your Active Kids rebate voucher for the 2020 membership fee and your Creative Kids rebate voucher to subsidise term fees.

To redeem your Active Kids or Creative Kids rebate voucher, please email to info@spaghetticircus.com:

  • your voucher number
  • your child’s name as it appears on the voucher and
  • your child’s date of birth

When enrolling at our Member Portal, enter the promotional code Active2021 if you are using an Active Kids rebate voucher or Creative2021 if you are using a Creative Kids rebate voucher at the shopping cart page and click ‘Apply’. This will reduce the payable total by $100 per voucher.

Enrolment and discount only remains active when:

  • you correctly submit a valid voucher number and details
  • it is successfully redeemed and
  • vouchers are used appropriately as outlined above.

REFUND POLICY No refunds will be issued once classes have commenced. Refunds will only be considered for significant injuries, illness or a severe family situation that prevents the student from attending class.

WITHDRAW FROM CLASS Parents must notify the school to withdraw from class. Notice is required in writing via email before the commencement of the term. If a student stops coming to class without notification, then that student’s account will be charged for the remainder of the term.

Absence from training sessions Your fees pay for a place in a Spaghetti Circus class. The trainer to student ratio in these classes is limited to ensure that your child receives the best possible training. Therefore, if you choose not to attend training sessions during the period for which you have paid fees, no refund will be given.

No refunds, prorated tuition, or makeup classes are available for classes missed, including scheduled family holidays or closure of Spaghetti Circus due to natural disasters or interruptions such as bush fires or floods.

PAYMENT PLANS, FEE HELP OR PARTIAL SCHOLARSHIPS Spaghetti Circus endeavours to make circus classes available to all children and adults. If you have any questions or concerns about completing payments, please either speak to the front desk or email info@spaghetticircus.com.

STAYING TO WATCH The viewing areas for non-participants is either the front shed foyer or between the sheds. Please ensure any siblings stay out of the training area and off the equipment.

WHAT TO WEAR AND BRING To feel comfortable when participating in circus classes, please wear stretchy shorts or tights and a t-shirt or singlet. Leotards and tights are the most comfortable for aerial classes. We experience the full splendour of summer and winter temperatures in our sheds, so please dress appropriately for the weather.

Bring a labelled water bottle and have a healthy, energy-giving snack before class. Long hair should be tied up. Some classes may require flat-soled shoes. NO jewellery or zippers are to be worn and chewing gum is strictly forbidden.

Personal items should be left in the cubbyholes in the reception area. Be sure your students’ personal items are marked with their name. Lost property is taken to the op-shop at the end of each term.

ARRIVAL AND PICKUP Students should wait for their class inside and be ready to start at their scheduled class time. Please pick up your student promptly after class and inform us if you know you will be late picking up your student. Students are to wait inside the building. During peak times the parking lot is crowded, so remember that our students include young children.

Please drive slowly and carefully – the speed limit in the Showground is 10km/h. It is a shared area with animals, kids and vehicles. There is a three-strike policy from the CLM Mullum Showground board. On the third complaint of excess speeding, your vehicle may be unable to enter the grounds for two weeks.

REGISTRATION AND POLICY UPDATES Only registered students are permitted to participate in classes. If any of the details you provide in your Member Registration change, it is your responsibility to notify the Spaghetti Circus office in writing or logon to the Members Portal and update your details. Your Member Registration is valid for enrolment in any program in the future. From time to time we may update our policies; when we do, you will be prompted to re-accept these policies from your Members Portal. Acceptance of the policies is a condition of continued participation in classes.
