Senior Coach/ Venue Maintenance


General circus classes for fun (3 – 6 month maternity leave position)

 

Reports to: Head of circus school

Overall Responsibilities: To facilitate fun, safe and challenging circus classes

Rate of Pay: $25.60 hour depending on qualifications, experience & program 20hr confirmed coaching hrs. with more for GA accredited coach.

 

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

Circus Coaching (12 – 16hrs per week)  – Prepare and implement fun, safe and challenging activities appropriate for all class participants  – Term 2 is a performance term, so every class will perform in the community show  – Prepare lesson plans prior to the commencement of class that are aligned with Training Goals & Strategies  – Liaise with Head of school regarding the lesson plan prior to the commencement of class  – Adapt activities to suit individual participants needs and abilities  – Ensure all participants adhere to Spaghetti Circus Participant Code of Conduct  – Always leave training space clean and ready for next class  – Inform Head of school of any training, equipment and / or participant issues  – Understand and adhere to Spaghetti Circus Coaches Code of Conduct  – Maintain qualifications with Gymnastics Australia, if appropriate

Administration & Meetings  – You are required to attend staff meeting 5 times per year  – Record weekly hours in time sheet book

Venue Maintenance (4-5hrs per week)  – Vacume training spaces twice weekly  – Empty bins  – Sweep and tidy reception area  – Vacume office area  – Wipe down surfaces  – Keep venue presentable, safe and clean  – Tidy equipment area when needed

First Aid If you have a current First Aid Certificate;  – Provide first aid to participants when required  – Complete Incident Report Forms for all First Aid incidents (Kept near First Aid Kit at Front Desk)  – Adhere to Spaghetti Circus First Aid Policies & Procedures (Kept near First Aid Kit at Front Desk  – Maintain current Senior First Aid Qualifications

OH&S  – Ensure equipment is checked prior to use and report any damage or issues to OH&S Coordinator  – Be aware of participant medical issues prior to coaching (See Participant Health Forms & Participant Information Form at Front Desk)  – Understand and adhere to all Spaghetti Circus OH&S policies & procedures (Currently under review)
