 The Ready, Set, GO! Sports Show by Spaghetti Circus

Spaghetti Circus presents our major work for 2007, The Ready, Set, GO! Sports Show where circus collides with sport in a thrilling & spectacular ride! The joys of winning, the woes of losing & all the crazy bits in between presented through death defying acrobatics, playful juggling, hula-hooping madness, mind-bending contortion & hilarious clowning!  

The cast consists of the newly formed Spaghetti Circus Youth Performance Troupe aged between 12 and 18 years old.  The highly skilled group are the best Spaghetti Circus has to offer.  Some of the members have been training for over 10 years and are obsessively dedicated to mastering skills in circus as well as creating and performing new and exciting physical theatre and circus performance.  Please support this creative and unique group of young emerging performers!

The Ready, Set, Go! Performance showcases the new creative direction Spaghetti Circus has taken over the last 2 years.  Our performers have been working hard at developing their theatrical and stand-up comedy skills that has taken their circus performance to a new and exciting level.  Like the Pirates Show, a strong narrative and wacky characters will guarantee an enjoyable experience for all the family.

Simon Adams (Artistic Director, Spaghetti Circus) has worked in collaboration with many renowned performers to produce the work including, Co-Director, Joel Salom (Circus Oz), Mandy Nolan and Daniel Rabin. Local school students were surveyed as part of the creative development process to produce a work that truly reflects young people’s perspective about sporting culture in Australia.  Members of the Performance Troupe were also involved in all aspects of the creative development process such as developing the acts, scripting and costume design.
